I am writing this review for their sister concern Cahoot.ai which is headed by the same individual. The interview process was good to begin with but ended up being thoroughly unprofessional.
It comprised of a short (40-60 mins) aptitude test, a business intelligence case (which involves installation of SQL server studio and databases, and building dashboards on tableau) that takes 4-6 hours and then follow up from the CEO on specific bullet points on the resume (provided written summary of 2 bullet points). And finally a phone interview with the CEO for 1.5 hrs. I found the HR super responsive till the point of the final interview. Loved my interaction with the CEO as well. But the HR became unresponsive after the final interview.
Post interview saga -
First follow up 1 week after interview - went unanswered
2nd follow up 2 weeks after interview - the HR responded that they had still not decided on my candidature.
No communication for 1 month.
Followed up after 4 weeks of 2nd follow up - no reply.
I believe it reflects the company culture when they do not value a candidate's time. Cahoot's interview process involved at least 10 hours of effort and to not have a final decision (select/reject) at the end of it, that too despite multiple follow ups is extremely frustrating. When I checked with 2-3 other friends who had interviewed for other roles, they had similar experiences. If you're interviewing with this company, be aware of the time commitment in the process and the fact that at the end of all this, they might not extend you the basic courtesy of a result/decision.
