Question 1
Why does this role, and working for Public Digital as a company, interest you?
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Public Digital (Londres, Angleterre) en mai 2021
Entretien
Four-stage application process: 1 - online application via the Applied platform. Appreciated this, as it is anonymised, attempts to remove bias, and generally felt more inclusive. 2 - a 45 minute 121 interview over Zoom with a future peer. Informal, open, honest. 3 - Panel interview including 15 minute case study presentation. Given case study with a 7-10 days preparation time. Three Public Digital colleagues formed the panel; a director and a couple of partners. Again, quite relaxed and respectful. 4 - 30 minute Zoom chat with a founding partner.

Question 1
1 - Usual (but short) application form for a senior role 2 - Asked to talk to CV, explain why I might fit the role, and pick on some past examples to further emphasise related skills and experience. Time for some Q&A too. 3 - Typical questions post-presentation, such as 'how do you enable senior stakeholders that aren't aligned to make progress together' 'what is your biggest weakness'. 'why do you want to work here' and 'why are you the right candidate.' One element to point out is it felt quite biased towards public sector. Be mindful that most of the Public Digital team are ex-government - I felt that in how the conversation and style flowed. 4 - Again, friendly and informative. Certainly some follow-up from all previous stages - clearly and rightly notes had been shared. Asked about how to help leaders to appreciate and act on challenges that I'd be advising on in the role.
