I applied for the Accelerate Programme (Procurement Consultant) and as such the assessment process consisted of the following elements:
- CV review
- Informal telephone interview focusing on past experience, why a career move from internal procurement to Consulting as well as a brief discussion around Proxima as an organisation
- A suite of online intelligence tests
- 1/2 day assessment centre consisting of networking lunch, talk from CEO, Q&A session with current members of Proxima team, competency based interview and case study interview
All things considered, the application and assessment process were great! The process was streamlined and efficient, with no unnecessary monstrous online application forms. Interactions with Proxima staff were all very pleasant, with staff coming across as friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and professional without fail. The assessment centre process was challenging, whilst the approach of the day allowed one to feel at ease and perform. The CEO talk was something very unique - it was great to gain some personal insights from him about the company and future plans, whilst his presence alone was a telling sign of the importance placed on acquiring the right talent at Proxima. The opportunity to gain honest feedback from a number of current Proxima employees of similar grade was also very useful, both in the context of the role, but also the company culture. Finally, the time from end of assessment process to announcement of their decision was refreshingly short.
