I applied for Standout in IT in 2022, had a couple online assessments and then I had an interview with a senior leader. That was my first job interview ever, and I literally butchered the first part. I said my name and got so nervous I just got stuck and asked to start over lol. The lady was so so nice and she calmed me down after I said I was sorry I'm just very nervous and she was so comforting and said "It's okay to be nervous, in fact, I'm glad you are nervous, it shows you care". She calmed me down and I'm honestly so greatful for her approach, that's the only reason I somehow passed that interview, and was invited to Standout. At Standout, I had the last interview before getting an internship offer. All the interns were having interviews on the same day at our hotel room and we'd leave straight to the airport after depending on what time our internship ended. That interview was a panel interview with 2 P&G leaders and they were super nice and welcoming, not at all intimidating. It was virtual, despite us being in Cincinnati. One of my interviewers was located in Chicago. A hotel staff member knocked and opened the door in the middle of the interview thinking I had already left the room vacant. They were super nice about it and even laughed about the situation since he knew I was in Cincinnati at a hotel P&G paid for. I got the offer the same day as soon as I landed back home. I was on the plane still when I opened the email. Same day response for the last interview and 1.5 months for the first one but about 7 months between them.

Long process: IQ test, personality test and then 3 rounds of interview. Essentially they care a lot about personality types in this company because they think it determines working style -- hence you have a lot of people who are type-A, outcome-driven.

I took the online assessments. First, the behavioural and self-rating one (called the Peak assessment). I thought the questions were very strangely formulated (for example, asking how accurate or inaccurate it is that you're average at x thing compared to most people. If I think i'm better or if I think I'm worse, those would both make the sentence inaccurate, right? Such a strange and useless way to rate someone. Would make a little more sense if it said "at least average"). Then there was the attention games one. It is infamous for a reason. You can find information about these assessments on their website. By the way, there was a grammar mistake in one of the questions. I just really think HR should re-think or at least re-write this whole online assessment.

a ridiculous IQ test of sorts, questions become increasingly difficult. One portion made no sense with very little explanation. The final portion was a memory quiz. I don't see what this had to do with the IT internship as I don't believe I will be spending my days there memorizing dots on a white screen. There was also a behavioral aspect, that was fine.
