The hiring manager was a no-show to the screening interview (they were due to call me), and only apologised later, at the end of that day, by way of replying to my (politely) prompted email. After we rescheduled the call for the following week, the exact same thing happened again - another no-show. I received no contact, no follow-up, no apology. Nothing. This shows a fundamental lack of professionalism and respect; and honestly, it's just plain rude. As the first point of contact with the company for prospective employees, this goes a long way to demonstrate the real culture. What would the reaction be if I'd been that unprofessional? Colour me singularly unimpressed.

They invited me for an interview knowing I didn't have SQL or pensions experience, then decided not to move forward with my application due to that lack of experience, which is just a waste of my time. They also viewed saying I was bored at my current role as too negative.
