You first get an invitation to take their personality assessment product. Then you get a small take home assignment, basically doing Django tutorials from docs, then they invite you to a conversation with their "people's coordinator", and then you have a one hour interviews with members of the team. It was so bad that after the interview I sent them the following email. On my part I'd like to mention that my interview at Plum ranks among the worst interviews I've ever had, very close to an interview where yelling at me from the start and racial profiling occurred. I must say that I was made felt extremely uncomfortable throughout the call, on multiple occasions. At the very beginning it seemed like one of the interviewers did not want to be there for the interview and was acting unprofessionally, saying things like, this was a long day and I had multiple meetings and I have a headache, while pretty much interrupting me as I was trying to speak. I then didn't feel at one moment like the interview was a conversation, I felt like I was being interrogated at a Police station, discredited for any good thing I tried to say and even mocked (early on into the interview, I had said that I like to be a Full Stack Developer because I enjoy being able to work in every part of the stack and have flexibility, sort of like a Jack of all trades, to which the interviewer interrupted me and said along with a big grin: "And a master of none huh ?"). When I was trying to understand an example the interviewer said, while there was talk about a certain assessment I simply asked "what assessment ?" and I got a response along the lines of: "Our assessment, what do you mean what assessment, you didn't do the Plum assessment ? What ? What did you do you had your girlfriend do it for you ?" To which I had replied with a humour deflection tactic as to try and alleviate the situation. Following that latter interaction I felt like everything I was saying was mocked and not taken seriously. That was the majority of it. I was initially really attracted to the self-aware advertisement at Plum and therefore really wanted this to work out until that interview, It really got me wondering if the uncomfortable environment was a psychological test on me or if that was truly the daily ambiance at Plum.
