A headhunter from out-of-town contacted me at work about the position. They pre-qualified me and eventually scheduled the interview. Headhunter firm failed in their duties. Headhunter attempted to learn from me if I worked with anyone who I would recommend. She left me with few doubts about who at my current company was returning her calls. So it's possible (even likely) that my current employer learned that I was interviewing.
