A recruiter reached out to me for a product management position. I then had an amazing interview with the manager above my role about how I could be an asset to the team. I was quickly invited to come in for a two hour interview a few days later with four team members that the role works with.
I am an avid user of the product and have all the necessary skills to carry out the tasks--so I was confident I'd get the role. What makes this review so hard to write is the poor execution of the interview. Obviously I don't expect the engineers to be skilled at conducting interviews, but one of them took down notes on everything I said up until I had to leave--making me feel as if I were important and that I'd be getting the position.
After some silence, I was told that I wouldn't be moving forward. Like most reviews state on here, Pinterest is terrible at conducting interviews. I will say that the process moved quickly and the recruiter was nice--but all that stress, preparation and setting aside time for interview after interview was all so they could pick my brain and dump me.
