      Entretien

I initially received a phone interview, which I'll admit, they were kind enough to reschedule. After that, I was invited in for an in-person interview. I arrived, checked-in with security, then was interviewed by a SVP (over video conference) and by the Director of Production, 30 mins each. The questions in the first part with the SVP were relevant and the flow felt very well, although they had trouble with their sound, which was annoying. They appreciated the questions I asked them, and I felt confident at the end. The other half was face to face with the DoP, where I felt pressed and the impression they were not going to select me, especially since I would of been working closely with them. There were instances I knew the DoP wanted to hear different answers, and instead of saying "we could work with that" or "you can learn those skills", they said everything was "good" and "excellent", which I can tell by the tone in their voice and demeanor that those were blatant lies and that they would devour me. Speaking with them really shattered my confidence, and felt the lack of trust between both of us. The office was pleasant, but the interview did not feel organic/collaborative, since both interviews were separate. I was told I'd receive a response in two weeks. I received a rejection email over a week later, which was very generic. I asked what skills I missed, and the answer was basically "the other person was just better, and that your skills would not be good enough for the internship." If this were the case, you should of turned me down when you read my resume, not when you invited me for an interview. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place for any potential intern, unless you have thousands of years of experience with events.
