1. The process started with some initial calls with their recruitment team & was followed by an online multiple choice questions based test.
2. After that 2 rounds of remote interviews were scheduled with current PhonePe employees. This scheduling process was not done well. The PhonePe recruiter was not available to answer simple questions or describe what the next rounds of interviews would look like.
3. The first remote interview was fixing something in an existing Xcode Project. The problem was not a very intelligent one to solve. In fact at one point even the interviewer was a bit stumped and wondered if they had mistakenly sent me an older problem.
4. The second interview was pretty simple test of algorithms.
5. They later summarily rejected my application without providing any explanation. After probing a little they revealed that I had failed my second technical round of interview, which seemed like he was copping out.
Summary:
Their recruitment team was very unprofessional , did not respond to communication & called at odd hours. Their interview process was not clearly explained. The over-all experience was quite poor. The engineers I spoke to seemed quite unimpressive and did not provide clear answers to simple engineering process questions about their company.
