The application process consisted of four face-to-face interviews. Two interviews were conducted on day 1 (recruiter + hiring manager). Subsequently, I was informed that I made it into the top 3 and was invited to two additional interviews (hiring manager + predecessor). I was informed about the hiring manager's positive decision in a timely manner. All interviews were rather casual and conversational without exception.
