I responded to their Dice.com ad for a SQL / ASP Classic Programmer who will be "immersed in a fast paced environment" and will "lead projects independently." The HR rep was very nice and set up a Skype interview with me. He explained that if the Skype call went well, he would follow up with a tech interview with other team members. The Skype call was easy - HR asked very easy boilerplate questions and would disappear for several minutes after asking each one. At the end of the call, he said he'd heard enough to warrant the next step (team interview). It was at this point he asked me if I'd be ok with starting at $15/hr (the ad says $20/hr - $50/hr). After a cordial closing, I was on my way.
