I had an initial phone interview with HR that went well. I was then contacted by someone in the Phillipines to schedule a work sample review. I waited two weeks for my scheduled work sample interview, and completed that activity. From my perspective, it went really well. I was told I would hear back by the end of the following week regarding next steps. I waited and waited, but heard nothing. I reached out to my HR contact, and she said the person who had worked with me on the work sample was out on vacation and had not made a desision prior to leaving. I waited two more weeks before reaching out to HR again. This time I received an incredibly vague response that did not tell me that I was or was not in consideration for the position. After about 6 weeks I emailed the person from the work sample, and never received a reply. I was really disappointed with the entire interview process as I was assured in my initial interview that Pearson really valued their candidates' time and that they tried their best to be very efficient and upfront throughout the process. During my experience, I waited two or three weeks between interviews, and then was completely ghosted after my work sample. I finally received a formal rejection a few days ago (end of december) when my interviews were back in September. I'm sure many applicants can relate to an experience like this. I did not feel like my time was valued. After reaching out to HR and the content team, I would've really appreciated some direct and specific feedback about what my background or interviews were missing, but no such luck.

Straight forward and Engaging. The work sample was challenging but very helpful when evaluating if the position and its work is right for the candidate. The interview schedulers are in the Philippines so the time difference is significant. Interviewers are based in US.
