J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Paycom (Sunnyvale, CA) en juin 2017

      Entretien

I was reached out by a recruiter on LinkedIn. The recruiter was very friendly. In our first conversations, she discussed the Company as a whole, went over what the culture was like, what the pay structure looked like, and heavily emphasized that the position would not have a sales component. We had scheduled an interview the next week to be done on Wednesday. The prior days before, the recruiter would check on me via text messaging (don't know if I consider this to be a positive/negative). I had to complete the Wonderlic Personality Assessment test before, questions were straightforward. The recruiter did an interview prep call describing the manager (it was mostly about his personality, what he was like--again, I don't know if I considered this to be remotely helpful since nothing was described about his work, etc.). The recruiter then sent me an email with instruction/tips to prepare for the interview. Wednesday morning on-site. My interview was scheduled for 8:30AM. Around 8:10AM, I get an email from Paycom's internal website that I wouldn't be selected for the position/not moving forward. Confused, I texted my recruiter, but no response until a few hours later. When I got the Paycom door, I was faced with a locked door too--similar to another interviewer's experience. I only received the name of the interviewer and I had no idea how to contact her. No phone number, etc. Tip #1 -- you should have people be prepared to greet an interviewer, most companies do this. The two employees (not the interviewer) were completely confused about where to put me down for my computer assessment. One thing I had to note is that two of them were both barefooted--and everyone's computer station looked extremely messy/unkept. Tip #2 -- the office should make a *slight* attempt at being professional. We had to shuffle to three different office rooms before they decided on one to have me to do my interview. Like the previous interview, the computer was running on Microsoft Windows 98. After completing the math and reasoning Wonderlic assessment (just timed for 12 minutes, if you've taken Algebra 1, you should be fine). The interview happened over a WebEx, Go-To meeting. The employee was really confused on how to set up the meeting or how to work, also very awkward. The interview itself. The interview was scheduled to only last an hour (8:30AM - 9:30AM) --the interviewer bombarded me with questions and I finished around 10:15AM. Poor time management. The interviewer mostly talked about himself and he asked me A LOT of questions that focused on my weaknesses, dealing with stress and kept interrupting me during my responses. Honestly, I tried super hard to be upbeat and positive, because I knew that these questions were geared for me to turn them into a positive light, but it came to a point when my smile fell off my face and my interest in Paycom fell from "very" to "none"--horrible experience. Tip #3 -- respect time and respect people. Over the next week, I called my recruiter to let her know that I was no longer interested in the position.

The interview process was extremely organized and the communication was fantastic. All questions were answered within 24 hours of my initial correspondence. Each manager I interviewed with had great questions and made the experience very interactive.
