Applied online. Heard back about 2 weeks later with another email with an online assement. This took about a half hour in time to do. Wasn't anything complicated and they don't try and trick you. Follow up telephone call from HR. Then got an in person interview. The questions were very professional and fair. Not overwhelming and made you feel like a conversation not an interview. Then heard back from Paychex about a week later with an job offer.

Interview process consisted of 2 interviews and one shadowing session. Interview questions were pretty standard STAR structure. I interviewed in person with one supervisor while one other was on a video call.

I had two interviews. First one was with one manager and the second was with two other managers. The interview s lasted about 30 minutes each. They asked about my payroll background and several questions that started out with, "tell me about a time..."

Very simple. A round table interview with scenario-based questions. They ask mostly about previous interactions with co-workers as well as customers. It is a customer service job and you are dealing with payroll which can get very overwhelming
