Mostly good, a little long. It was 30min HR call, 30 min hiring manager, and then 4x30min peer interviews over 2 days. I found the preparation sheet very helpful as it laid out the focus of each interview and gave me employees to research.
First several rounds went well, the hiring manager especially made it a very comfortable dialogue. Received positive feedback and progressed to the panel stage. The other employees asked thoughtful questions relevant to the role and made a friendly impression. At that point I felt excited about the potential opportunity to work there as the job sounded aligned with my skills/interests, and the culture seemed a good fit.
The last person I spoke to however was very weird. First she talked to me in an infantilizing way ("we stop BAD content", yes I am familiar with the field). Never gave any remarks to any of my responses which kept me on edge because it turned the conversation into an interrogation where she kept the cards close to her chest. When I asked her to clarify one question, she refused and just repeated it. At the end of the interview, she gave me very short answers to my questions. Thankful I don't have to work with this person.
HR promised to reach back out in a few days but I didn't hear anything. Sent a polite reminder on Friday (1 week after) and got the rejection on Saturday. They said they chose someone else although the job posting was reposted, so who knows :)

I really enjoyed interviewing with Patreon! The HR team is incredibly supportive and communicative throughout the process. Scheduling each interview was a breeze with their Ashby system and the recruiting team was incredibly responsive anytime I had a question. I especially enjoyed their Core Values interview as I felt I really got to learn more about the company and what they value.
