The process was very neat but the company did not deserve to waste anyone's time. When I was only a week away from starting the new role they called up saying they cannot hire me. And the reason for so is that I desire higher pay. Honestly, who wouldn't negotiate? I did it only once and when the company couldn't do much I accepted the offer as I was biased to company goals and job role. And while all this I declined 2 offers with better pay and bigger firms but eventually I am back to where I was 6 months back just with more family responsibilities and hight debts.
