The first interview (with recruiter) was pretty standard. The recruiter described the responsibilities and the scope of the position, and then asked questions about my background. After my responses, I asked some questions of my own about the role, and about the interview process. The recruiter provided a detailed description of that process. I was told that I would be referred to the hiring manager, but was not given an interview with that person.
