I applied online and had a screening interview with an HR representative. While the interview went about as expected, the HR rep couldn't provide many details about the role. After sending me a rejection email, the HR rep contacted me a short while later to ask me to elaborate on some of my qualifications, even though we had already discussed them during the interview. I replied, then got a very generic email back. I'm sure there are internal decisions that I'm unaware of, but I found the process a bit puzzling overall.
