I had a phone interview with the corporate recruiter and was offered a 2nd interview (with less than 24 hour notice of the pro[posed interview date) that was mysteriously retracted before it could be scheduled. After the initial phone screening, I received email from the recruiter stating that the hiring managers were "very interested" in speaking with me. I replied with potential availability for a 2nd interview as requested. I then received email from a Vice President proposing the 2nd interview the very next day. I could not reply or accept the proposed date (with only 24 hour notice) so I asked to schedule the interview later. The VP replied on email 3 days before Christmas to tell me to copy the other people that were copied on his original email to me. I had only replied to him. Why he couldn't simply forward my reply to the other employees is beyond me. Despite this confusing request, I copied the other 2 people as instructed and heard nothing. I suspected that I was not being seriously considered and the effort and interest to schedule the interview was less then professional. The day after Christmas, I received a curt email from the recruiter stating that the managers were going in another direction". My suspensions were accurate and I am fortunate to avoid wasting anymore of my valuable time (especially around the holidays) with this dubious process.
