I met with hiring manager and then with eight others, including his boss and his boss' VP. Half in Pittsburgh and the rest in Louisville, KY. Interviews each lasted about 1 hour and varied by person in terms of style and questions asked. Each person represented a different area of responsibility within the business unit. Everyone was gracious and very professional. Overall the process was extremely thourough in terms of providing me a fairly broad understanding of the position and the associated responsibilities. It was clear that within PPG there is a desire to build a "bench" of high-potential middle managers that are promotable, and that there is a bias in favor of outside candidates for these types of roles.

Question 1
"Are you willing to roll up your sleeves and do some of the [more menial] work yourself?"
I applied and they reached out. We had one interview and I moved to the second interview. It was nice interviewing with the hiring manager. I did get an offer however they could not meet my salary expectations.

Got a call from HR after I sent in my resume. We talked and she wanted to have me do a video interview. Took 4 days to hear back on this. Then couldn't schedule it for another week. The HR person told me they were in the office 2 times a week. Great! Get to the interviews. 5 people, spread out over 3 hours over two days. Interviews went ok, I have no regrets how I did. Didn't get the offer, which I'm at peace with. BUT all I got out was a form letter rejection that wasn't even updated to reflect the total process. HR, if you're reading this, and a candidate makes it this far, at least give them the feedback as to why they were passed up, it will help them in their job search. I even reached out asking for feedback and got radio silence. It just shows that you absolutely don't care about the candidates, and probably don't care about the employees either.

Very unprofessional attitude during interview with HR manager. She frequently checked her mobile and looked at outside during interview. After interview process, no feedback. When you ask for an update, again unprofessional attitude with lack of clear update. HR Organisation in Turkey should be trained about how an interview process should be managed in a global company like PPG.
