I think the process was quite realistic, no useless IQ or personality tests or similar, everything was based on actual work and previous experience. There were 4 steps to go through in total and it did take quite a while (considering also that holidays took place in the middle of the process).

Entretien
After getting contacted by Oura via LinkedIn we booked a video call to get to know each other and discuss the open positions. After this we proceeded to the actual 3-stage interview, which consisted of technical architecture discussion, going through a Swift coding excercise, and talking with an engineering manager at Oura.

Entretien
During my recent 2-month-long job search, I participated in technical interviews at over a dozen companies ranging from very small, early-stage startups to large tech companies just 1 level below FAANG.
My interview loop with Oura stood out from the rest for a few reasons:
1) Humanity! This is one of their core company values and I truly felt it during each of my conversations with the team. The interviews were collaborative, supportive, and representative of actual work that someone who is hired for the open position might encounter. What a concept!
2) Each interviewer I spoke with saved 10-15 minutes at the end for me to ask them questions (at other companies, I'd usually have 1-5 rushed minutes). Clearly, making sure the candidate had an opportunity to assess the role & responsibilities, company culture, tech stack, etc at Oura was equally important to them as finding the right candidate for the job.
3) I had some known technical issues with my machine that the engineering team took extra effort to accommodate beforehand (specifically, my Macbook was 10 years old and could not update to the Xcode version required for the pair programming session). I interviewed at other companies who were unwilling to make a similar accommodation...
It was a very enjoyable interview process and no leetcode was involved :)
