First interview was decent, I can't complain about it - I sent my CV and the recruiter answered the next day, Speaking English was not a problem (I don't speak fluent Dutch yet). Sadly, next interview in Oss was a waste of my time.
In my CV and cover letter I included information that I moved to the Netherlands exactly one year and one month ago and my current level of Dutch is B1/B2. I applied for a position where 'good' Dutch and English were necessary (not fluent). The interviewers however were surprised when I told them since when I have lived here, and they reacted negatively when I thoroughly introduced myself in Dutch and said literally one(!) short sentence in English at the end. They had a negative attitude towards speaking English and were constantly insisting on switching to Dutch. They also said that some of their colleagues don't speak English.
Making extra language barriers while discussing important topics in a job interview is nonsense. As a result I got completely discouraged and I was switching 50/50 between languages.
In the beginning I've been informed that they won't offer me anything to drink, and many of their questions were pointless, but being treated like someone who doesn't make any effort to learn Dutch was absolutely disgusting. I would never like to work in such an unsupportive environment.
During the first interview speaking English wasn't any problem, and somehow on the second one it was a huge problem. I have been misled and I am very disappointed with this situation.
