      The interview was with the MD. There was no set interview questions it was just a chat. There was a test to complete which was on 2 A4 sides of paper and they like to try and trip you up by wording the questions in a misleading way. If you are successful this is a running theme throughout the business, a blame culture.

We look to determine not only that an individual is suitable for the role, but that we are suitable for the individual as well. Part of our recruitment process includes a short functional skills assessment. There are no ‘trick’ questions, it is designed to help us understood an individual’s abilities to apply logic, reasoning, follow instructions and spot inconsistencies, as well as carry out simple mathematical processes which may be required within their job role. Your comment regarding a ‘blame culture’ is concerning and we’d like to explore this in more detail.       Was interviewed for a PM role a while back. Essentially you had to hand write your CV out again and answer a test paper in a group of 20+ being interviewed for various roles. Then you had a short interview where they obviously hadn't read your CV in advance and had no idea who you were. Most bizarre interview I have ever had.

      Good Morning I am sorry you found our interview experience unfavourable. I assume you mentioning "re-writing your CV" to correlate to the completion of our application form? Whilst I appreciate this is not a simple task, there are many essential elements on there that measure your suitability to the role which simply cannot be obtained from a standard CV. Whilst CV's are commonly used for contact purposes, we generally feel that a CV does not always reflect the person behind it. We really like to get to know our candidates and to find out about the real them, not just what is said on paper. Commonly, applicants really praise this style of interview process, with us retaining some rather exceptional feedback. We have conducted so many interviews which have provided much better insight than the standard questions routinely produced during interviews. We feel complex questioning in such circumstances to rarely produce favourable outcomes for applicants and is a poor reflection on the person. I am sorry you did not feel the interview to align with your expectations. We have noted your comments and will endeavour to be as transparent as possible with our application process going forward.
