I did two phone screens with HR for two different engineering teams. Both of them were very knowledgeable and helpful. However, both times they said they would be setting up an interview with the hiring manager and complete silence thereafter. My advice is to not plan around anticipating the interviews, the phone screens seem to be pointless.

Couple of technical rounds followed by HR in which they primarily asked about quality and kind of work I did. Question were scenario based in which they tried to understand whether I will be a good for organisation or not. HR was very good. Assignment was given by hiring manager on my view about guiding my junior if there is a need.
