Entretien
I applied online and heard back quickly about scheduling an interview. I spoke with Jorden N. and she agreed to a date that would fit her schedule later in the week to speak with her. However, when the time came she failed to call me, 10 minutes passed by with no email update.
I had to call her, she picked up and was a bit taken aback. I told her my name and I had waited for her call. She forgot we had an interview, to begin with. She didn't apologize for her tardiness and forgetfulness and proceeded to look up the questions for the interview instead of offering to reschedule, which would have been preferable.
The interview was extremely brief and didn't last the standard 30 minutes as is typical for phone screens, she only spent 5 minutes speaking to me and didn't leave me any time to ask questions.
She was robotic and didn't take the appropriate time to get to know me as a candidate for the position.
Overall, I am very disappointed with how my situation was handled. And while I would’ve loved the opportunity to work for Optum, the interview and recruitment process left a bad taste in my mouth.
I would hope this is not the standard, as I regard the company with the utmost respect.

The recruiter I interviewed with had demonstrated poor social skills and it seemed as if I was interviewed by a robot. Questions were mostly technical with some behavioral ones.
