This company is in desperate need of improving its interview process and candidate experience. After applying for an open position, I was invited to take an online skills assessment (fairly standard these days). I took the assessment, but then never received any sort of confirmation from OpenLoop that I had completed the task or that they had received my results. I tried to contact them, but the only communication they sent was from a no-reply address, and it didn't have any human name or contact information. A big red flag. There was also no one attached to the job posting on LinkedIn, further indication that they don't want to communicate with potential candidates. Without any confirmation or acknowledgement that I had completed the skills assessment, no information about next steps or hearing back, and no way to contract anyone on the hiring team, I simply had to wait and hope for the best. I finally heard from the company, 3 weeks after completing the assessment (and over a month since I originally applied). By that point, I knew it wasn't the type of company I would want to work for because they are either clearly overworked and spread so thin they can't keep up with candidates, or they just don't care.
