      Entretien pour Program Coordinator

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez One Million Degrees (Chicago, IL) en juin 2022

      Entretien

I interviewed by phone and then with a group of four people via zoom. There was about two weeks between the phone call and the zoom interview. An internal candidate was hired. Then I was offered the chance to meet with the director for the same position but at a different campus. That never happened. Another internal candidate was hired. Why advertise a position if they wanted their own people.

      Entretien

First, I applied during the month of May 2024 and I would say about 2-3 weeks, I had to complete a phone interview (in the month of June 2024) in which I signed up with one of the OMD HR staff but it had to get rescheduled but I was still able to choose my original time (but I modified the time though). Had to complete a phone interview (30 mins in total but 15 mins for role play exercise and 15 mins for the actual interview). When it comes to the role play exercise, you have to create an action plan about (you) being in the role as a Program Coordinator (at one of their CCC sites) assisting a student with a myriad of issues. Then, you have to 'speak' within the phone interview as if you are speaking with an actual student via the action plan that you created for them. Also, there were 4 interview questions as well. I was informed about the next steps within the interview process for this position which will be conducted in-person (also I was sent an an actual PowerPoint presentation, I believe that we had to facilitate an mock session - but I am am unsure about this part since it wasn't fully explained to me). Finally, I don't know the complete amount of interviews to complete for this role, in my case I am assuming it was only 2.

Why are you interested in working for OMD? Why are you interested in this role/position at OMD?

Through their website, you email them your resume and a cover letter, which is pretty standard. One person that wasn't involved with the process any further, emailed me back quickly and stated that I would be recommended for a phone interview. This phone interview took place about a week later. It was about 30 minutes long with a different person from the one I was corresponding with previously. There were about 4 questions, nothing out of the ordinary. A few days later I was informed that I would not be moving further along in the process because of a lack of case management and project management experience. This was a surprise as only case management was discussed on the phone. The job description was not explicit about PM experience. The interviewer even discussed what the important information was they were looking for prior to getting into the question and answer portion of the interview. I did appreciate that they told me the results and did so quickly. I just do not understand if that's what they were looking for, why they weren't more explicit. I had project management experience to discuss. Also, my experience is pretty explicit on my resume, which would have saved us all a lot of time and heartache on my end. She did tell me they were going to be doing 5-10 (huge range) of phone interviews for this one position. Following the phone interview, there were to be 3 more in-person interviews.
