The director did not move me forward through the interview process because I would not give her a salary number and instead told her I was content with the market rate. In other words, she was hoping I would give her an exact number (we went back and forth a few times) so that they could pay me the CHEAPEST amount possible. After I wouldn't budge, she rejected my application.
