J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Old Mission (New York, NY) en mars 2024
Entretien
Applied End of Q1. Recruiter quickly reached to schedule a 20 minute introductory call. Followed by online HackerRank. Make sure you are familiar with Python under the hood and "multithreading" in Python using libraries like asyncio.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
20 MC Python questions. 10 MC Linux questions. 1 Leetcode style question. 90 minutes.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Old Mission (Chicago, IL) en déc. 2024
Entretien
1. Online assessment with 50 Python MC questions, 15 Linux MC questions and a Leetcode-style problem (felt like a medium).
2. HR behavioral phone screen. I think these first two steps can happen in either order.
3. Live coding problem with an engineer. OOP not Leetcode. This was pretty enjoyable and I thought I did well, but I was rejected a few days after.
4. Based on what the recruiter said during step 2, I believe there would have been another coding round, followed by an on-site.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
- Python MC questions got pretty into the weeds of a very wide spanning range of Python topics. Don't think there's a way to prepare for this other than knowing your stuff.
- Linux MC questions were very basic cli stuff: grep, permissions, piping etc.
- Design a class to process some shopping data stored in a bunch of CSVs within a Linux container they had set up.

In bullet points...
* A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn
* I spoke with her for about half an hour
* I was sent a code test that took about an hour
* I did a zoom interview with one of their software engineers
Interviewer was sharp and engaging, and recruiter was clear and communicative.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Code tests weren't super difficult from a data structures / algorithms perspective, but they got into the weeds of Python language features(/minutiae) much more so than your typical interview.
