Let's see, there job posting qualifications call for high school diploma some college preferred, previous supervisory experience and flexible hours. First of all I've completed my Associates degree and about to finish my Bachelors degree in supply chain management. Secondly I have 4 years of warehouse management for a large battery company as well as handling all the shipping and receiving responsibilities. Lastly I openly suggested to working any hours available or needed because when you work in warehouse, shipping and receiving or freight hours can be crazy. My response for the company was your experience doesn't meet our standards which I would be fine with only if you didn't have 3 simple qualifications and make it seem like I were an idiot for even applying. Naturally I responded with a thank you email for their consideration and time and even explained if there were any confusion or had any questions about anything I would love the opportunity to talk over the phone or even have a phone interview to prove myself worthy but given an answer "again.... continue to check for better opportunities". Why would I even consider wanting to work for such a company lacking an exceptional HR department

I was brought in for an initial interview with HR. My second interview was with the assistant terminal managers to determine if I met current needs. Neither interview was highly intensive. I felt they asked all relevant questions to determine if I really knew what I was talking about. There was very little frivolity and decisions are made very quickly. After being hired I asked the manager what is was that made them select me and I was told it was when I pulled out a list of questions that I had prepared. They really appreciate a candidate who has done their homework and can speak knowledgeably about the company and the position they are applying for.
