I applied through Indeed to a company called Instant Impact for a job at Octopus Energy advertised as Graduate Customer Service. I got a call back from the lovely Aasimah within 45 minutes and we arranged an interview for the following day. We had the interview which went really well, Aasimah was lovely and asked general questions about my experience as well as my understanding of the job. She told me there and then that she would like to put me through to the next round, which was being interviewed by Octopus itself the next day. Aasimah gave me her number in case I had any issues outside of work time. She called me for a prep call before the interview to give me tips on what they were likely to ask etc. The interview was with Silas and Kelly who were both lovely and asked a range of questions about my experience, understanding of the job as well as a few fun questions. The next day Aasimah informed me that I was through to the final round and gave me my feedback from the 1st interview as well as links to the online numerical and verbal reasoning tests I had to sit. I sat those after a day of preparation and passed. The final interview was with James, the operations manager for Octopus. Aasimah called me again to prepare me for this. James was very nice and asked lots of deep questions about my aspirations for the future and how I thought Octopus could fit into that. We also discussed the topic of green energy in general. It is obvious he is very passionate and knowledgeable about this and it was a pleasure to discuss it with him. I heard back a day and a half later that I had been successful in my application and that they would like to offer me a job which, of course, I accepted. Everyone in this interview process has been amazing. It is by far the best recruitment experience I have had. Aasimah in particular went above and beyond to help me throughout this process, she was amazing in preparing and supporting me.
