Had an online interview with a recruiter who mainly asked background questions and a few basic technical ones from the tech team. I answered all except Docker, which I answered as best as I could, clarified I don’t use daily and wasn’t listed in the job description.
A week later, I got a generic rejection citing lack of experience with Cisco Meraki and Docker, despite Meraki being on my CV and telling the recruiter during the interview.
It felt like they were looking for faults rather than strengths, and in my opinion a technical interview should be judged by the tech team/manager, not the recruiter at the very first stage.
