      Entretien

My experience with interviewing with OCERS consisted of two interviews. I applied to the job at it’s deadline in late February. It was an exhaustive application with essay style supplemental questions. A bit over the top but I did it. In June (about 3-1/2 months later) I was called in for an interview. I interviewed with 3 people. It was a fine experience. The people were all nice and they provide you with the questions on notecards so you can read it before answering and then refer back to it if needed. They also provide water which is so helpful. There was very little back and forth except for some jokes or pleasantries but I think that is because none of the interviewers had experience in this field of work and wouldn’t have known what type of questions to ask. One week later I was called to schedule a second interview which would take place two weeks later. I met with three people again, one from the previous interview. This one included the CEO. He asked a lot more questions than I experienced with the ladies in the first interview but he was friendly and it flowed nicely. Same situation with the notecards and water. I was told I would hear back 2 business days later. I never heard from them so I let it go about two weeks before I followed up. 10 minutes after I emailed HR, she sent me back a generic regret letter. Advice to anyone that interviews with OCERS, follow up when your gut tells you to. Apparently there isn’t a very good system with all that. In total the process took 18 weeks. The outcome for me was not disappointing at all because I was very skeptical about the position but if you are unemployed or really want the job, I imagine the process at OCERS would be very frustrating for you.

      Question 1

All of the questions came straight from the supplemental questions on the application.
