Was contacted via e-mail by a recruiter (contractor) one month after submitting the application. They reached out to ask for availability to schedule a screening interview. This was not the typical screening call where you go over your resume and explain your experience, what you know about the company, bring to the role, why you apply, etc. The screening was focused on technical questions which is unusual for this type of role and stage of the process. The recruiter asked technical and behavioural questions, Also they asked the salary expectations. He would take notes and share with the hiring team to coordinate a future interview if applicable.
