Initially, either a recruiter contacts you or another Financial Representative or Managing Director does, then you interview with him/her first, then the second interview is with the office's Managing Director where you learn more about the profession, ask questions, and get assigned a personality test, then another Managing Director interview to make the decision to accept/decline an offer, if there is one. You have to do a few market surveys to gauge the type of market you will focus on.

There were four or five interviews, if you count the meeting with my future mentor. There were also a few personality assessments. Lots of paperwork. The finance industry is tightly regulated.
