There are many steps to the interview process. First, you apply (of course), then a skills test, and a phone interview/screening. Afterwards, you will get an invitation to a two-day interview appointment at the office.
The first day is a panel discussion with the current employees to discuss the position and answer questions. During the second day, you attend your scheduled interview with two panels of 4, one formal and one supposedly informal, and job shadow with a current employee and manager. The interviews asked basic questions and go over your resume. No surprises. Everyone was nice and friendly.
They constantly said to be coachable, But what stood out to me was when one of the people on the panel said they don't normally hire people off the street, meaning they might give priority to hiring the prior interns or hiring internally over people who are qualified to do this bill collecting job. The position was reposted to the website a couple weeks later.
The interview consisted of Behavioral interview questions along with an overview of the company and its internal processes. Asked questions about work ethic and how we work in teams. The company manager explained the duties on the job.
The interview was virtual over Teams and was behavior and resume based. They were flexible with scheduling and offered very honest insights into professional development, workplace culture, and role expectations.
