I applied online, filled out a long survey with multiple random questions. I received a call four days later asking me to come in for a group interview. At the interview, they had me sign in and check over some paperwork. They had the store manager and a couple of department managers come in at talk about their experiences with Nordstrom. Following that, they called each person in the order that they signed in. I met with a random department manager, who asked me four or five questions. At the end, she asked me to come back for a second interview with the department manager of the department that I was interested in working in. The second interview consisted of explanations of the commissions and department including the brands they carry. The department manager asked me three more questions and then called a week later with a job offer. My advice would be to dress professionally, but make your outfit your own so you stand out.
