Applied via Wellfound. Received an invite for an interview with recruiter. I didn’t hear anything for a week or so, as advised I would so I reached out to the recruiter on the status. A few days following, they advised they are going in a different direction.

Went through 5 interviews and the last was to be with the CEO presumably with an offer. After the 5th, I was told they were meeting to go over their notes and hopefully would hear something that Friday. I heard nothing and waited until the next week to reach out and check in. It took several days to get a generic reply that they've decided to move in another direction. I replied, obviously disappointed, asking for any feedback. Considering I applied at the end of May and started the interviewing process at the beginning of June and was finally told August 16th I wasn't chosen, I felt like I should've gotten some feedback of some sort at a minimum. 5 interviews drawn out over that span of time is a very long time to have someone hang in there and waiting.
