J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Nielsen (Bangalore Rural) en mai 2024
Entretien
The interview was scheduled in 3 stages.
1st screening round- Basically they want to test the domain knowledge. The job roles yoh have applied for. Not very tough question but question from all over domains. I was asked 2, 2 questions from SQL, SCALA/Python, Spark.
SQL- Simple GroupBy questions
Spark- Basic aggregation functions
Python- find even number
Other questions from spark/ command line/ aws/ Apache DAG etc.
Round 2: I was not expecting the interviewer to ask me questions like syntax of spark-submit, UDF etc.
The interviewer was not audible at all, I was getting a lot of voice breaks from the interviewer and also his accent was not very clear. I had a tough time in understanding what he wants to ask.
The questions was also very unexpected. How do you connect Spark with oracle/ hive etc. give the syntax. I was like who asks these questions in the world of Genrative AI. But still he sticks to it and keeps on asking questions like these.
Below are the questions:
Types of join in SQL,
How will you connect Spark with different databases write syntax for it.
How will you connect AWS S3 with spark.
How will you remove/ show the duplicates from a table (spark, sql)
UDF in spark and its syntax.
Spark-submit syntax
How to create table in hive.

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Nielsen (Tel Aviv-Yafo) en juin 2018

Applied for BigData Developer at Nielsen TLV (former eXelate). it was a full day interview with Team leader, group leader and HR. except for the Team leader everybody else looked un-experianced , non professional and very childish. the group leader actually seems like a junior developer. they ask for recommendation which I gave and than they've diapered.
chaotic process , non-mature , childish and non professional process.
The position seems to be for juniors and for people who like repetitive tasks.
