      I applied for another position online and they redirected my resume toward this one. I received an email requesting a phone interview time. At the agreed upon time, the recruiter gave me some excuse that I could not understand about why this interview had to be delayed a week. A week later, this initial interview was with the recruiter who asked "How many years have you done x?" type questions. I found this to be inane and repetitive. Apparently, my answers were acceptable because I was granted another interview with the hiring manager and their peer. The interview with the hiring manager was pleasant and focused mostly on situational questions. I found some of the responses to my questions to be a bit surprising because the hiring manager hemmed and hawed and didn't really know the answer. In general, it felt like the organization didn’t really have a good plan for this position. After talking to the hiring manager, I was granted another phone interview with a peer of the hiring manager. I agreed on a time with the recruiter and received a call letting me know that again an interview had to be rescheduled. This third interview was more technical with the interviewer asking technical questions and then providing his take on the answers. I was a bit dismayed when his color commentary to my answers included factual inaccuracies but I let it go. After this interview, I never heard back at all. I emailed the recruiter for feedback and received no reply. I called the recruiter but she never answered her office phone. My only hint was that the position was no longer posted on the company web site. I found this to be extremely unprofessional and rude but par for the course with how their communications went. An oddity of the process was that the recruiter provided me with the cost of health insurance when scheduling each of the phone interviews. The cost was extremely high, approximately three times my current payment per paycheck, more than $10,000 a year higher out of pocket costs a year in medical insurance alone. I am not sure why they would lead with this information so early in the process unless they are trying to send up warning flags.
