Entretien
An online application followed by a games based numeracy test. The numeracy test is based on sequences and spotting patterns, so the only prerequisite is basic secondary school maths. Overall it was ok

Entretien
It was good exposure, consisting of two rounds. The first focused on experience and resume. The second was a competency-based interview with 6-8 questions in the Milton Keynes office. Questions were not so tough.

Question 1
Why Network Rail and how you embrace diversity in the workplace

From applying online there was a 2 stage process.
1) 1-to-1 telephone interview
2) A face to face interview with a presentation
I had a telephone interview which lasted 20 minutes on 10/12/17 - folIowing my success in the phone interview they scheduled the face-to-face interview for 23/01/18 (which I still don't understand why it taken them so long when the interviewer on the phone mentioned they need BA's as soon as possible).
Progressing to the face-to-face interview; I had the team leader pick me up from reception and gave me the presentation task and I sat in the interview room for 1hr 15mins by myself. at this point I was hoping at least the hiring manager would show their face and introduce themselves and the process however this was not the case.
After giving the presentation; I had the face-to-face interview and during this time I found out 2 things:
1) the job I applied for (Senior Business analyst); was not the job I was being interviewed for as the role they ended up being interviewed for was a Junior Business Analyst.
2) the salary advertised was also less than advertised since they told me I'm interviewing for.
Concluding the interview; they also asked my current and expected salary which I felt was unprofessional and unnecessary.
To conclude; this is the worst managed end-to-end process that I have ever experienced, as not only was I lied to about the role which I applied for; but also the lack of communication that I had regarding this whole process. They didn't need to take more than 6 weeks from phone interview to face-to-face and really could have done a better job in making me feel welcomed once I was on site (e.g. Having Hiring manager introduce themselves 1st)
