I applied through a staffing agency. The position was Factory Content Specialist. First, I had an interview with the agency, then did some language tests and finally attended the final interview at Nestlé NBS with the manager. The interview started ok: first we talked about the position and then about my experience. Then suddenly the manager asked me for some skills that weren't even mentioned in the job description: graphic design skills and computer generated images skills. Of course I said I didn't have a degree or experience in graphic design or any skills on computer generated images, and that I'm a digital marketer with a focus on content marketing (which was the job I applied to...) with some knowledge of Photoshop. So after saying this the manager immediately started downgrading my experience and telling me that they weren't really looking for people with my skills. Funny thing is... I know for a fact that, for this exact same position, Nestle NBS hired people with the exact same skills as me and with no experience or training on graphic design and computer generated images... So it was "nice" to "understand" the double standards of the manager when hiring people. Totally awkward, inexplicable and negative experience.
