The first part of the process was excellent, I did my first round of interviews and was pushed forward to the second round very quickly but this is where my experience went down hill, the original interview was rescheduled with no notice. I got lucky I was paying attention to my emails and saw it had been rescheduled, then the manager who I was supposed to be interviewing with showed up 10 minutes late to the interview, and proceeded to make me very aware she did not want to speak with me. Also that the enthusiasm I showed for the role was not appreciated either.
After, I was told you’ll hear back from us by a specific date, that date came and went when I finally got the we’ve decided to go with someone else email. I had honestly figured that I was wasting my time by the attitude of the manager alone, but if you tell your candidate you’ll be getting back to them by a specific date. PLEASE FOLLOW THROUGH! It’s not difficult, and it’s incredibly rude when you don’t.
Job hunting and interviewing is already enough of a challenge, when you have managers in place who are obvious in showing they think you’re a joke and that your time is not valuable make the whole process that much worse.
