Standard process of meeting with an HR associate, merchandise manager and the personal shopper you will be working for. Standard interview questions about current and past experience in retail and level of confidentiality to be maintained when working with personal shoppers clients.

1. See position listed online 2. Goes to the store to speak directly with management about the position and confirm it is in fact REAL. And to be proactive and not get lost in a sea of online applications. 4. Meets manager and Gets told to apply online first 5. Gets first call back 5 days later from manager telling me to fix an error on my application. Fixes it 6. 1 week passes and I receive email from recruiter for a online “meet” 15 minutes, preliminary Qs (availability, salary req, ect) gets told I will be moving on the next steps and to hear back from someone by end of the week (it was Tuesday) 7. End of the week comes, nothing 8. 12 days pass by, I email them. No response 9. Another 5 days pass, I go directly to the HR office to see what’s going on. She tells me she’ll check on it and get back to me 10. A few days pass by, I receive an email from HR wanting to schedule an in person interview and asking my availability for that week. I respond with my availability and receive no response 11. Send another email a little over a week later. Receive an immediate response saying to come in for interview the next day 12. Meet with department manager + hr manager for about 30+ minutes. Give all my experience and the whole routine 13. Received an AUTOMATED email 2 days later saying I didn’t get the position ;-) I literally had to “chase them down” the entire time. All that just to get an automated message, that I didn’t get the position. rude, impersonal and unprofessional!
