Tried to negotiate the salary and was told I was lucky to get what was being offered because it was more than my current salary in the same organization. An external candidate would have been better able to negotiate for more than offered because there was no reference to a salary history during the interview process.

Very formal process. Phone interview then 1:1 with Senior Manager of department then a panel interview.
