Overall, my experience with Nebius was mixed.
The first interview with the HR manager was very positive. The interviewer asked relevant questions related to my background and the role, and the conversation felt professional and comfortable. This interview set a high standard for the rest of the process.
However, the second interview with the technical team was disappointing. The questions asked were not directly aligned with the Infrastructure Security Engineer role. Instead, I was given a coding exercise, which felt more suited to a software developer position. Although I was able to complete the task, the format and relevance of the assessment raised concerns.
Additionally, part of the interview felt less professional, as one of the interviewers did not appear on camera, which reduced the level of engagement and transparency.
Overall, I did not experience an evaluation of my core security skills, which are central to the role. This was the main drawback of the process.
In general, the experience was rather negative, mainly due to the mismatch between the technical interview and the role, as well as inconsistencies in the interview process across different stages.
The company is not really European despite on its location. It’s more like russian.
