Initially completed application. Invited to completed maths test and situational/most likely questions. Then invited to assessment centre which consisted of math and English test (very easy), medical test (basic, blood pressure, eye sight, weight), fitness test (grip test, holding a shield up for a minute, agility test running around cones and bleep test to approx level 5.4 which I believe is doable for most people without any practice), and role play exercises (4 role play scenarios with prisoners/visitors). I have never excelled at drama or roleplay and thought I had done horrendously however passed with no issues. Just make sure to be aware of the key points as that’s what they are looking for the most. They got back to me within a week. Hence the above process took approx 1 month. What then took longer than expected was the security checks necessary to get the job. Interviewed in may as checks not complete until October.
