Expected style interview. General fit and personality questions followed by specific questions about why I wanted to do that research, why that lab, then where do I see my research going, what would I like to do in the future/independent research. Had a tour of the lab - impressive facilities and met with each lab member for a 30 minute chat followed by lunch with all of the lab minus the PI.

Over the course of a day I had 8 one-on-one interviews with faculty in various Department Pediatrics, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the College of Global Public Health, and the Wagner School in order to insure compatibility and lay the groundwork for future collaboration. I also gave a presentation to the Department of Environmental Pediatrics. The day was very well organized and I was impressed by everyone's level of enthusiasm and by the many opportunities for growth available at such a dynamic institution.
