      It was a 3 hour process. It was a great experience. It was more of conversations rather than questioning. There was ample time and good encouragement to ask questions about the job.

      I recently had an unsettling experience with Eight Eleven Group and NYU Langone that I feel compelled to share with others. After seeing a job posting for a grant development and administration position at NYU Langone, I applied and was subsequently contacted by a representative from Eight Eleven Group, a recruiting firm that NYU Langune is using. During our phone interview, I quickly realized that things weren't quite as they seemed. Firstly, the position that was advertised as a full-time job turned out to be a 6-month hourly position with no guarantees of becoming permanent. When I inquired further, I was told that while there was a possibility of being made full-time after six months, it wasn't a certainty. This raised immediate red flags for me, and I began to feel uneasy about the entire process. My concerns were only exacerbated when I was informed that despite receiving multiple expressions of interest in my background via LinkedIn, I was not being considered for the position due to a lack of NIH experience. It struck me as odd that they would waste both our time by proceeding with an interview if I didn't possess the necessary qualifications. To add insult to injury, the interviewer then requested that I answer standard HR questions, which seemed pointless given that I had already been eliminated from contention. It almost felt like they needed to satisfy some sort of quota or contractual requirement by interviewing a set number of candidates. The entire encounter left a sour taste in my mouth and struck me as incredibly disrespectful. Based on my experience, I would urge anyone considering job openings at Eight Eleven Group or NYU Langone recruited through Eight Elven Group to exercise extreme caution. Although the initial recruitment process may appear promising, it's essential to remember that they might not always be transparent regarding the terms of employment or the likelihood of securing a full-time role. Before investing valuable time and effort into their hiring process, do your homework and pose plenty of questions. Save yourself potential frustration and disappointment by being well-prepared and vigilant throughout.
